Australian Financial Review - Street talk: Former Credit Suisse metals and mining research boss Paul McTaggart joins boutique

Boutique financial adviser Blackpeak Capital has hired Credit Suisse's former head of metals and mining research to lead its natural

resources coverage.

The firm announced on Tuesday morning that Paul McTaggart, who left Credit Suisse's equities research team in March, was joining as a

managing director.

McTaggart is well known in financial markets by both natural resources investors and companies.

He was head of global metals and mining at Credit Suisse, previously worked in equities research at HSBC and Morgan Stanley and in

corporate advisory for Rothschild.

Blackpeak was founded by former Credit Suisse bankers Max Billingham and Scott Colvin.

"Paul has over 30 years' experience in resources and has an incredible understanding of the global supply and demand dynamics

impacting each commodity and the strategic implications for our natural resource clients," Colvin said.
